I was talking with Jim Dean at the meeting Tuesday night and he suggested the club purchase a software/hardware monitor (and maybe printer) calibration solution for club members to use. I think this would be an excellent idea as I've seen large variations in color/contrast when viewing photos on different monitors. I calibrate my monitor at home every few months and adjust my images to my liking on my monitor. Unfortunately, I have no control over other's monitors and something that looks great on mine may look like crap on someone else's (and vice versa). Calibration is the only way to let everyone see somewhat the same image.
Just thought I'd post this to get some feedback from other members on this. Feel free to add your thoughts on this also!
